The Mid-Suburban League’s impact on girls gymnastics was immediate and has been impressive. No team can approach Fremd’s team success that includes 12 state titles and 23 top-three trophy finishes. Palatine has also historically been one of the top teams. And the state meet record-holders in all four events are from the MSL - Conant’s Allison Buckley (vault), Barrington’s Stacey Magiera (uneven bars) and Fremd’s Mary Burke (balance beam) and Michele Hernandez (floor exercise).
